A Message From The President
On behalf of the Tuscawilla Home Owners Association Board of Directors, I would like to extend a warm greeting to all residents of Tuscawilla, those considering making this your home and anyone interested in what makes this such a great community to call home.
I consider myself fortunate to have chosen Tuscawilla and Winter Springs as the place to live for the past 24 years. My wife Cyndy and I believed we found a beautiful neighborhood with warm, welcoming neighbors and the years have not changed our feelings. Tuscawilla and Winter Springs continues to enjoy top rated schools, a low crime rate and a sense of community unlike anywhere else. With continued community involvement by so many of our residents, we feel Tuscawilla and Winter Springs will continue to be recognized nationally as one of the best places to live in America.
Your THOA board members are a dedicated group of volunteers motivated to improve the quality of life here in Tuscawilla. It is our intent to serve our community to the best of our collective abilities. As with any community, Tuscawilla is most successful when we come together as a group. Membership to our HOA is voluntary but the more members we have, the more clout we carry when liaising with government entities.
THOA board members have served on most Winter Springs government boards including Planing & Zoning, the Police Citizens Advisory Committee and the Tuscawilla Lighting & Beautification District. Our current Mayor and two sitting commissioners are past members of our Board of Directors. We have been closely involved with our city staff in making numerous improvements to our parks, streets and landscaping. We maintain a close relationship with the city Police Department and as a result, I hope you believe the $30 annual investment in your community is worthwhile.
Moving forward, the goal of the THOA is to continue to expand our existing social gatherings such as “Family Fun Day” and “Wine Night”, then initiate new opportunities to socialize and address the needs of our residents. We will continue to work on the many important yet sometimes boring issues such as pond and stream maintenance, common area beautification and public safety.
On behalf of the Tuscawilla Home Owners Board of Directors, thank you for supporting us as we continue our efforts in 2020-21. As always, I would encourage all residents to feel free to contact myself or any member of the board with questions or suggestions.
Sincerely,
Kurt Miericke
